Birth Certificate Number

If you have your birth certificate with you, your reference number is a series of letters followed by a string of numbers in the upper right hand corner of the certificate. It asks for 'birth certificate reference number' and we don't know where to find this :/ there is a number at the top of the certificate that says bu then a six digit number, and we think it's this number, but. I have the smaller birth certificate, and it as a number in the top right starting with gq and then 6 numbers in red ink, then i have another number at the bottom left, underneath the date (in black ink.
