Apr 21, 2020date if you want to cast into date, then you can first cast to datetime64[ns] and then use dt.date to get a column of datetime.date objects: I tried using $(date) in my bash shell script, however, i want the date in yyyy-mm-dd format. The t separates the date portion from the time-of-day portion.
